BluePearl Pet Hospital located in Midtown, Manhattan is hiring an extraordinary Dermatology Veterinary Assistant! Schedule: Monday-Wednesday in our Midtown location and Thursday in our Brooklyn location. Pay: $22.19 - $30.36 This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. As a Dermatology Veterinary Assistant, you will: Be comfortable with heavy client communication Obtain patient's history Preferably, be comfortable with routine dermatology medications and side effects Able to use Dermatology terms Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation Prepare for Skin Biopsy Able to recognize alopecia, nodules and tumors Patient care including diagnostic procedures and treatments Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients
