Description This role is responsible for the business aspects of Applied Materials Etch Service Business Unit - Service Product Segment, including service product roadmap definition, product lifecycle initiation and customer specific service growth strategy. This leader will manage both product management and customer assigned business development PLMs to deliver customer value through differentiated service products, account level service growth and business unit financial performance for the global Etch installed base. Key Responsibilities
- Service Product Roadmap and Portfolio Management
- Translate market analysis, equipment forecast, installed base, entitlement, and customer performance data into market requirements for service product development
- Lead team to define service product portfolio strategy, including product requirements, roadmap prioritization, value proposition, and ROI quantification for new and existing service products.
- Prioritize investments based on customer value, competitive differentiation and strategic advantage versus customer self service alternatives
- Develop customer facing service product communications to articulate features, customer benefits, cost of ownership impact and differentiated outcomes.
- Establish operating cadence, metrics, and governance to track roadmap execution, account growth plans, adoption, revenue, margin, penetration, and customer outcomes.
- Customer growth strategy
- Lead customer-assigned business development managers responsible for account-level service growth strategies.
- Define account-specific service growth plans based on voice of customer, installed base opportunity, competitive position, entitlement gaps, and willingness to pay.
- Drive execution with field, sales, engineering, marketing and service operations to convert growth plans into revenue, margin, and strategic growth outcomes.
- Own account level business analytics, including service growth forecasting, penetration rates and margin performance.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of relevant industry experience; semiconductor equipment, wafer fabrication equipment, Etch, or service business experience preferred.
- Experience leading product managers or commercial/business development teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into product roadmaps, service offerings, commercial strategy, and account execution plans.
- Experience managing customer-facing growth initiatives in complex semiconductor / capital equipment / service environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey service product value to internal stakeholders, field teams, and external customers.
- Strong financial acumen, including business cases, revenue forecasting, margin analytics, pricing, and ROI/value selling.
- Ability to operate across headquarters, field, sales, engineering, and customer executive stakeholders.
