Credit & risk analyst – vehicle lending

Own portfolio performance, credit policy, and underwriting improvement. Analyze live loans; build scoring models;

recommend policy calibrations based on NPA, bounce, and collection trends. Not execution - analytics and judgment.

Core Responsibilities

• Analyze portfolio by segment, bureau score, geography, dealer, OEM. Identify credit patterns and red flags.

• Build and validate credit scoring models. Test new variables against real outcomes. Back test decision rules.

• Develop and maintain underwriting policy - decision trees, approval limits, bureau thresholds, income

verification requirements.

• Underwrite 2 W/3 W/CV applications: CIBIL/CRIF, KYC, income (salary/ITR/business), bank statements, FI,

vehicle, dealer documents.

• Quarterly portfolio reviews - PAR-30/60/90, vintage cohort analysis, early warning signals. Present findings and

recommendations to leadership.

• Link underwriting decisions to outcomes. Root-cause deterioration. Challenge and refine credit assumptions

monthly.

Required

• 3+ years NBFC/bank retail lending credit or vehicle finance - actual credit decisions, not just execution.

• CIBIL/CRIF interpretation, cash-flow analysis (salary, ITR, business financials), balance-sheet reading/analysis

• Quantitative mindset: scoring models, portfolio cohort analysis, PAR/NPA trends, policy back testing

• Excel (pivot, VLOOKUP, functions)

• B. Com, B. Tech, BBA or MBA; Finance/Economics/Statistics preferred

• 2 W/3 W lending, EV finance or emerging vehicle segments

• Built credit models, policy frameworks or scoring systems

• LOS, BRE or bureau data integrations
