About the RoleFitness Solution company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the company's day-to-day accounting activities and help ensure accurate, timely financial information.This is an important role within a growing, entrepreneurial company.The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being involved in the details, can manage multiple priorities, and is comfortable working closely with the CFO, ownership, sales, and operations teams.
The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and cash management, while also helping improve processes and systems.
What You'll DoManage day-to-day accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, cash receipts, disbursements, and reconciliationsOwn and coordinate the monthly and year-end close processPrepare and review monthly financial statements and internal management reportsReconcile accounts and research discrepanciesMonitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collectionsOversee vendor accounts, invoices, payments, and account reconciliationsMaintain accurate customer and vendor information in Sage ERP and CRM systemsPrepare and maintain Excel reports, including PivotTables, lookups, formulas, and other financial analysisAssist with sales commissions, cash-flow tracking, and financial reportingWork closely with sales, operations, purchasing, and management to resolve customer and vendor account issuesAssist with tax filings and other routine external reporting requirementsMaintain appropriate accounting procedures and internal controlsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and system efficiencyProvide financial information and analysis to the CFO and ownership as neededSupervise, train, and support accounting staff as applicable
What We're Looking For5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including some supervisory or lead experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredStrong understanding of general accounting, GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, and financial reportingExperience managing month-end closeHands-on Sage ERP experience requiredStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and other formulasExperience working with a CRM systemStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently while managing multiple prioritiesStrong problem-solving and communication skillsComfortable working in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred ExperienceExperience in manufacturing, xzbcwsv distribution, construction, fitness, or another project-based businessExperience working with ERP and CRM dataExperience with budgeting, forecasting, or cash-flow reportingExperience supervising or mentoring accounting staffCPA or other accounting designation is a plus

Compensation & Benefits$90,000–$105,000 base salary, depending on experienceBenefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance/401(k)/Paid time off/Paid holidays
