Job Description
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in executive communications, public relations, corporate communications, with experience supporting C-suite or executive leaders.
- Experience with narrative development, speechwriting, and owned content creation.
- Experience with executive social media platform strategy, press relations, or working with tier-one business, tech, and trade journalists.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience navigating confidential and evolving projects where the path forward is not always defined.
- Ability to work with high autonomy, pivot quickly in a changing environment, and manage confidential information with strict discretion.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a range of stakeholders and build networks internally at Google, and externally.
- Excellent cross functional stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to navigate complex issues and build consensus among teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage through ambiguity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect and refine the core messaging architecture and thought leadership narratives for the President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), translating complex AI, philanthropic, and economic initiatives into compelling, human-centric stories.
- Prepare briefing materials and FAQs for high-profile press interviews, keynotes, and strategic speaking engagements. Cultivate relationships with business, tech, and trade journalists and event organizers.
- Support the development and execution of a comprehensive social media editorial calendar for the President and CIO. Support content creation, platform strategy, and engagement metrics to maintain a strong, authentic digital presence.
- Coordinate between the Executive Office and key cross-functional teams, including Grow with Google, Google.org, Cloud, Marketing, Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), and broader Global Communications and Public Affairs (GCPA) teams.
