The Role
As part of our continued growth, LOXIM is expanding its pharmaceutical business and is looking for a dynamic sales and business development professional to drive the growth of our API, pharmaceutical intermediates, and CMO/CDMO business across assigned domestic and international markets.
The Manager – Sales & Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, expanding the company's market presence, and achieving sustainable revenue growth. The role involves managing the complete business development lifecycle—from lead generation and product positioning to commercial negotiations and account management—while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business objectives.
Working closely with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Logistics teams, the incumbent will help strengthen LOXIM's position as a trusted global pharmaceutical manufacturing partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and map potential API manufacturers, formulators, traders, and strategic customers across assigned global markets.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to generate new leads and expand market presence.
- Identify and develop business opportunities for the company's CMO/CDMO manufacturing capabilities.
- Recommend suitable APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates from the company's portfolio based on customer requirements and market demand.
- Conduct product presentations, customer meetings, commercial discussions, and technical interactions to promote company offerings.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and achieve assigned revenue, profitability, and business growth targets.
- Develop sales forecasts, territory plans, and business development strategies.
- Lead customer negotiations, pricing discussions, contract finalization, and commercial agreements through successful closure.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions to achieve business objectives.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts by ensuring timely commercial and technical support.
- Monitor customer requirements, market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and emerging business opportunities.
- Identify new products, therapeutic segments, and market opportunities to support portfolio expansion.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Support credit management, receivable follow-up, and payment collection activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and commercial governance processes.
- Represent LOXIM at customer meetings, industry conferences, exhibitions, and business development events.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required (approximately 30%).
What We're Looking For
- 8–12 years of experience in API, pharmaceutical intermediates, CMO/CDMO sales, or pharmaceutical business development.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, APIs, intermediates, regulatory requirements, and global supply chain processes.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets and successfully closing complex commercial agreements.
- Strong customer relationship management, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
- Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global business environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories.
