Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBiomedical EngineeringBiomedical Technician-Full TimeWeekdays Scheurer Health is seeking a full-time Biomedical Technician.  ResponsibilitiesTo ensure patient and staff safety at all Scheurer Health locationsPerform safety testing and maintain patient care equipment, systems and instrumentation used during the delivery of health care servicesComplete reactive repairs and the preventative maintenance program for all equipmentRequirementsPossess a valid driver license with no restrictionsHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.The preferred candidate will also have one of the following Associates degree in biomedical academic program or electronics technology Certificate from a U.S. Military biomedical equipment technology or electronics programCertificate from college, university or technical school for Biomedical EngineeringCertified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES)Biomedical Equipment Technician Certificate (BMET)If not certified, an applicant will at minimum have at least 1-year verifiable work experience in a related field and be willing to complete a BMET certificate program within 1 year of employment.Benefits:Competitive payHealth, Vision, Dental and Life InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance401k with matching fundsSafe Work Environment For questions regarding this position contact Mike Viers, Director of Facility Services or Lynn Abbe, HR Generalist.
