Staff Accountant

ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Staff Accountant to provide accounting support during two planned employee leaves of absence. This position will initially support Project Accounting and transition to Fixed Asset Accounting as business needs evolve. The ideal candidate brings professional accounting experience, a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, and the flexibility to support multiple accounting functions. The position works hybrid in Bolingbrook (onsite 3 days every other week) and starts as a 5-month contract.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Accounting activities initially, transitioning to Fixed Asset Accounting responsibilities during the assignment.Participate in monthly close activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting.Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.Perform variance analyses and investigate discrepancies.Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.Assist with accounting projects, ad hoc analyses, and other requests as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.2–4 years of professional accounting experience.Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting internal controls.Experience with SAP S/4HANA or another large ERP system; SAP experience strongly preferred.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities. xzbcwsv Ability to adapt to changing priorities and transition between accounting responsibilities.Availability for a five-month contract and the required hybrid schedule in Bolingbrook, IL.
