This is a great opportunity to work on cutting‑edge energy-saving projects for commercial and industrial clients.The role is based in Chippenham but involves regular travel to client sites, both locally and across England and Wales.You’ll take the lead on installing, programming, and commissioning electrical systems and equipment, working unsupervised or as part of a team.Additional benefits include a company van, training opportunities, and performance-based bonuses.Key responsibilitiesInstallation and commissioningInstall and commission electrical systems, including energy monitoring systems, sensors and actuators, 3-phase motors, VSDs/VFDs and pumps, renewable energy systems such as Solar PV, and battery storageModify and commission electrical equipment to meet project requirementsInspect and test installations to ensure compliance with BS7671 standards and client requirementsProgramming and troubleshootingProgram, test, and troubleshoot energy-saving equipmentDiagnose and resolve issues with electrical systems, motors, and equipmentProject leadershipConduct risk assessments for installation and commissioning workSupervise and train junior team membersLiaise with project managers and clients to ensure successful project deliveryCompliance and safetyEnsure all installations meet regulatory and safety standardsMaintain accurate documentation for compliance and reporting purposesSkills and qualificationsMinimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installations, particularly in industrial or commercial settingsProven expertise in 3-phase systems and energy-saving technologies (e.g. VSDs – install & commissioning, motors)Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings and technical documentationStrong knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition)NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrotechnical TechnologyInspection & Testing qualifications (e.g. C&G 2391 or equivalent)Valid ECS Gold CardFull UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points)IPAF and PASMA certificationsSolar PV installation and commissioning experienceExperience in energy reduction projects and technologiesPersonal attributesProactive, methodical, and motivated with excellent attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsFlexibility to work out of hours when necessary and travel nationwideBenefits packageCompany van and tools providedPaid travel, living‑away allowance, and accommodation for UK-wide projectsPension scheme (employee 5%, employer 3%)20 days annual leave + bank holidays + additional leave for long service (1 day per year after 2 years, up to 5 days)Performance-based bonus scheme (up to £4,000 per year)Ongoing training and career development opportunitiesApplicants must have the right to work in the UK.SMARTech energy is an award-winning energy reduction specialist with a track record in delivering carbon savings and substantially reducing energy consumption by 30-50% year on year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
