Job Description Senior Architect – Design & Construction (Luxury Villas) Company: Alankaram Division: Luxury Villas – Architecture and Construction Location: Indore/Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, with travel to project sites Experience: Minimum 8 years Qualification: B.Arch Employment Type: Full-time Role Overvie wAlankaram is establishing a new division focused on the end-to-end design and construction of bespoke luxury villas. We are looking for an experienced architect who can lead projects from the initial client brief and concept stage through detailed design, construction supervision and final handover .The role requires a strong balance of design sensitivity, technical detailing, project coordination and practical site-execution experience . Key Responsibiliti esUnderstand client requirements, lifestyle, budget and design expectation s.Conduct site studies covering context, orientation, climate, topography, access and development constraint s.Develop architectural concepts, master plans, space plans, elevations, façades and material palette s.Prepare client presentations, mood boards, design narratives and 3D visualisation s.Produce accurate working drawings, GFC drawings, specifications, schedules and construction detail s.Coordinate structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, interiors, home automation and sustainability consultant s.Ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, local development rules, NBC requirements and approval condition s.Assist with BOQs, tender documents, contractor evaluation and scope comparison s.Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups and contractor proposal s.Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that execution matches the approved design, specifications and quality standard s.Resolve site issues, RFIs and design conflicts promptly to prevent delays and rewor k.Monitor project schedules, budgets, design changes and construction qualit y.Carry out snagging, quality inspections and final handover documentatio n.Integrate Alankaram furniture, bespoke joinery, lighting, décor and interior elements into the overall villa desig n.Build architectural standards, drawing templates, approval systems and vendor networks for the new divisio n.Guide and review the work of junior architects, designers and draftspeopl e.Maintain clear communication and documentation across clients, consultants, contractors and internal team s. Must-Have Qualifications and Experie nceBachelor of Architecture from a recognised instituti on.Valid registration with the Council of Architecture, Ind ia.Minimum 8 years of post-qualification experien ce.Strong portfolio of luxury villas, premium residences or high-end residential projec ts.Experience in taking at least two projects from concept through construction and handov er.Strong understanding of architectural detailing, materials, construction methods and site executi on.Working knowledge of structural and MEP coordinati on.Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of Revit/BIM, Enscape or Lumion will be preferr ed.Ability to review BOQs, specifications, project schedules and contractor quotatio ns.Familiarity with building regulations, local approvals and construction documentati on. Preferred Experi enceExperience with a reputed architectural practice, premium developer or design-and-build organisat ion.Exposure to villas on large, sloping or complex si tes.Experience in landscape integration, sustainable design, home automation and premium material sourc ing.Understanding of bespoke furniture, joinery and custom fabricat ion.Experience managing contractors, consultants and vendors across multiple project sta ges.
