This contract opportunity focuses on providing vital emotional and behavioral support through individual and group counseling, primarily within a high school environment. Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree (requiredno exceptions), along with a current LARA license in Michigan
• Acceptable credentials include: Licensed/limited licensed masters level psychologist or social worker, MDE-credentialed masters level school psychologist, marriage and family therapist, or professional counselor (see specific state requirements as noted)
• School Counselor License (SCL), Michigan Teaching Certificate with School Counselor endorsement, Preliminary/Temporary School Counselor Credential (with path towards full licensure)
• Strong familiarity with SOAP notes and electronic documentation; proficiency with Google applications is a must
• Experience delivering individual or group counseling and supporting positive behavior programs
• Comfortable facilitating professional learning and collaborating with school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and social-emotional support to students in general education settings
• Maintain thorough electronic documentation following established SOAP note protocols
• Collaborate with educators to implement positive behavioral strategies and school-wide support systems
• Offer professional learning opportunities and contribute expertise to multi-disciplinary team initiatives
• Respond quickly and compassionately to emerging student mental health needs
