Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Hold a valid Michigan School Social Worker licensure (LLMSW may also be considered)
• Experience working with children or adolescents in educational or clinical settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop positive relationships with students, families, and faculty
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and special education processes is an advantage
• Skilled in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and providing group or one-on-one counseling

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support to students facing academic, behavioral, or social challenges
• Collaborate with educators and administrators to develop intervention plans and promote student well-being
• Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of IEPs and other student plans
• Support families by connecting them to community resources and services
• Lead or participate in school-wide initiatives aimed at improving school climate and mental health awareness
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of all student information
