<p> Wellstar Health System is seeking a full-time <b> Advanced Practice Provider (APP)</b> (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our <b> General Cardiology team </b> at <b> our new Columbia County Medical Center </b> , located in Grovetown, GA. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team of physicians and clinicians from Augusta University and Wellstar Medical Group, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care at Columbia County Medical Center. </p><p><b> Schedule: </b></p><p>3/12's – Friday – Sunday, 7am-7pm </p><p><b> Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li> Provide comprehensive cardiac care to adult patients in the inpatient setting </li><li> Perform history and physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans </li><li> Collaborate with supervising cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care </li><li> Conduct hospital rounds, follow-up visits, and discharge planning for cardiology patients </li><li> Participate in outpatient clinic appointments including follow-ups, medication management, and preventive cardiac care </li><li> Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, treatment options, and ongoing health maintenance </li><li> Assist in managing patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias </li></ul><p><b> Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li> Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program </li><li> Current Georgia licensure (or eligibility) as an NP or PA </li><li> Board certification as an NP (AGACNP) or PA-C </li><li> BLS and ACLS certification required </li><li> Minimum of 1 year of cardiology or inpatient APP experience strongly preferred </li><li> Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills </li></ul><p><b> Why Wellstar – Columbia County?</b></p><ul><li> Be a founding provider at the <b> new Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center </b></li><li> Access to modern facilities and advanced cardiovascular imaging capabilities </li><li> Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package </li><li> Support from a large, integrated health system known for innovation and quality </li><li> Opportunities for teaching, research, and professional growth </li></ul><p><b> Benefits Include: </b></p><ul><li> Competitive compensation and incentive structure </li><li> Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans </li><li> Paid malpractice with tail coverage </li><li> CME allowance and paid time off </li></ul><p> Join us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
