Job Description
AWS Data Engineer
Location: Remote; if local to Herndon, VA must be in-person 4 days a week
Duration: 12+ months
Tasks:
- Design and implement a secure AWS data store and supporting serverless components for an enterprise financial workflow.
- Develop DynamoDB access patterns, security controls, monitoring, backup and recovery capabilities, infrastructure automation and integrations with API services.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years building and supporting AWS cloud-native solutions
- Hands-on DynamoDB data-modeling and performance experience
- Strong AWS IAM, KMS, CloudWatch and Lambda knowledge
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform or an approved equivalent
- Python and/or Node.js development experience
- Git-based CI/CD and deployment experience
- AWS certification and federal cloud experience
