Growth Solutions Team has been retained by an established Hunt Valley law firm seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its litigation practice. This is an opportunity for an attorney with a strong commercial litigation background who enjoys managing substantive matters, developing litigation strategy, and working directly with clients in a smaller, collaborative firm environment.
A portable book of business is not required.
The OpportunityThe firm's litigation practice includes:Commercial Litigation: Business disputes, breach of contract, and other complex commercial matters.Corporate Litigation: Shareholder and partnership disputes, business ownership conflicts, and other corporate matters.Estates & Trusts Litigation: Contested estates, fiduciary disputes, trust disputes, and related litigation.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in commercial or business litigation and is interested in handling matters across these practice areas. Prior experience in estates and trusts litigation is a plus, but is not required for an attorney with substantial commercial litigation experience.

What You'll DoManage commercial, corporate, and other complex civil litigation matters.Develop case strategies and advise clients regarding litigation risks and options.Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and other substantive legal documents.Conduct and defend depositions and oversee discovery.Represent clients in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings.Work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm's practice areas.
What We're Looking ForActive Maryland Bar membership.5+ years of substantive litigation experience.Strong commercial or business litigation background.Demonstrated experience managing litigation matters with substantial independence.Strong motions practice, discovery, deposition, and case strategy skills.Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and client communication skills.Experience with corporate disputes or estates and trusts litigation is particularly valuable.
