Dental Assistant EFDA

We are seeking a full-time Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to work directly alongside the doctor and keep clinical and operational flow running smoothly. You will report directly to the doctor and perform expanded functions under direct supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform expanded functions under the doctor's direct supervision, as permitted by your Ohio EFDA registrationProvide chairside assistance across restorative, cosmetic, and general proceduresTake digital X-raysPerform intraoral scanning and support digital workflows, including CEREC and InvisalignHandle instrument sterilization, operatory setup, breakdown, and turnoverGreet patients, manage hand-offs, and communicate clearly chairsideUse Eaglesoft practice management software (training provided as needed)Support the doctor, hygiene team, and front desk as the day requiresWork independently on sterilization, lab organization, and office support when the doctor is outQualificationsRequiredCurrent EFDA registration with the Ohio State Dental BoardCurrent Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer licenseCurrent BLS/CPR certificationEvidence of Hepatitis B immunity or immunization, per Ohio lawStrong computer skills and comfort with practice management and imaging softwarePreferredDANB CDA, CODA, or AMT RDA certificationExperience with CEREC, intraoral scanners, Invisalign, or Eaglesoft
