Senior Fund Accountant

JCW is partnering with a venture capital firm to identify a Fund Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with 2–4 years of experience to deepen their expertise in fund operations within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

What You'll DoMaintain the general ledger and prepare financial statements for multiple venture capital fundsCalculate and record investment transactions, capital calls, and distributionsAssist with the preparation of investor capital account statements and quarterly reporting packagesSupport the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditorsReconcile portfolio company valuations and track fund-level performance metricsWork closely with fund administrators and assist with management company accounting as needed
What We're Looking For2–3 years of fund accounting experience, ideally within venture capital, private equity, or a fund administrator servicing alternative investments; Big 4 experience preferredExperience working with closed-ended fund structures, including familiarity with capital calls, distributions, and fund lifecycle accountingSolid understanding of investment xzbcwsv fund structures, capital accounts, and waterfall mechanicsCPA or progress toward CPA preferredProficiency in fund accounting systems (Allvue, Investran, Yardi, or similar) and strong Excel skillsStrong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple funds simultaneously, and a team-oriented mindset
