Here, you'll have the support, autonomy, and resources to focus on patient care and community impact rather than meeting financial quotas. About the Role This position focuses primarily on surgery, with an emphasis on High-Quality, High-Volume Spay/Neuter (HQHVSN), while also providing limited outpatient and inpatient care as needed (in the form of limited drop-off/inpatient appointments). You'll work alongside an experienced, highly trained team in a fast-paced, supportive environment where your expertise directly improves access to care and helps reduce pet overpopulation. Our hospital provides a wide range of services, including wellness care, urgent care, dentistry, radiology, in-house diagnostics, general and emergency surgery, hospitalization, hospice, and end-of-life care. Responsibilities Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats (approximately 30-35 surgeries per day) Perform additional soft tissue procedures such as pyometra surgery, mass removals, enucleations, cystotomies, gastropexies, entropion repairs, and other general surgeries Maintain exceptional standards of patient care, anesthesia, safety, and surgical efficiency Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care Support our mission of expanding access to affordable veterinary services within the community Qualifications DVM (or equivalent) with Ohio licensure or eligibility HQHVSN experience preferred, but training is available for the right candidate Candidates without HQHVSN experience must be willing to complete advanced training, including a one-week ASPCA HQHVSN training program in North Carolina Strong surgical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to animal welfare New graduates are welcome to apply if committed to developing advanced surgical proficiency What We Offer Monday-Friday schedule (8:00 AM-4:00 PM or earlier if/when surgeries are completed) Highly competitive salary Access to medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off and paid holidays Continuing education allowance and professional development opportunities Paid licensing, DEA registration, and professional dues Loan repayment assistance (where applicable)A collaborative, privately owned practice where your medical judgment is respected and your success is measured by the difference you makenot production numbers A mission-focused culture where your work improves the lives of thousands of animals every year If you're looking for a surgical career where you can practice excellent medicine, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and make a lasting impactwithout the financial pressures often associated with corporate veterinary medicinewe'd love to hear from you.
