HVAC Lead Service Tech/SupervisorLocation: Baldwin, NYEmployment Type: Full-Time, PermanentPay: up to $50-65/hour

Position OverviewA well-established HVAC company in Baldwin, NY is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Service Tech/Supervisor with 10+ years of hands-on HVAC experience to lead and support a team of technicians.
This is a working supervisory position. The HVAC Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing technicians, providing technical guidance, troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, and ensuring service work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong technician who has developed the leadership skills necessary to mentor and manage others while remaining hands-on in the field.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise, lead, and support a team of HVAC service techniciansPerform hands-on HVAC service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairsDiagnose complex mechanical and electrical HVAC issuesProvide technical guidance and assistance to technicians in the fieldConduct quality-control checks to ensure work is completed properlyAssist technicians with difficult service calls and troubleshootingAssign and coordinate daily service work and prioritiesMonitor technician performance, productivity, and work qualityTrain and mentor technicians on proper service procedures and best practicesEnsure technicians follow company safety procedures and applicable codesCommunicate with customers regarding service issues and recommended solutions when necessaryReview service calls, work orders, parts requirements, and technician reportsHelp ensure vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintainedWork closely with management to address technical, customer, and operational issues
Qualifications10+ years of professional HVAC service experiencePrevious experience supervising, leading, or mentoring HVAC techniciansStrong hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic abilitiesExtensive knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, electrical components, and mechanical systemsAbility to diagnose and repair complex HVAC issues independentlyStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to train, coach, and hold technicians accountableExcellent customer service and problem-solving skillsEPA 608 certification requiredValid driver's license with xzbcwsv a clean driving recordHVAC license/certification preferredAbility to work independently while effectively leading a team
