Job description:Senior Cost Accountant – ManufacturingLocation: Pittsboro, INPay: $85,000–$115,000 per yearJob Type: Full-Time | On-SiteSchedule: Monday–FridayTravel: 10–15%Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to support a growing manufacturing operation in Pittsboro, Indiana.This position is responsible for analyzing and maintaining cost-related financial data, inventory accounting, cost controls, and financial reporting. The Senior Cost Accountant will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to understand cost drivers and support business decisions.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overheadMonitor cost variances and provide analysis to managementManage inventory valuation, reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventoriesPrepare cost-accounting and inventory-related journal entriesSupport and lead cost-accounting month-end close activitiesReconcile inventory and cost-related general ledger accountsAnalyze COGS and manufacturing costsDevelop cost models to support pricing, budgeting, and forecastingPartner with Operations, Supply Chain, and FinanceSupport internal and external auditsMaintain compliance with GAAP and internal controlsAssist with ERP improvements and implementations related to cost accountingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of cost accounting or relevant accounting experienceManufacturing or product-based accounting experience preferredStrong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysisExperience with month-end close and account reconciliationsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysisExperience with ERP systems; Viewpoint, Acumatica, or similar systems preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate financial information clearly to operational teamsPreferred QualificationsCPA or CMA certification, or progress toward certificationExperience with average and standard costingExperience in a fast-paced or growing manufacturing environmentPay Range: $85,000–$115,000 annuallyEmployment is contingent upon successfully passing a background check and drug test.Interested candidates can apply through Indeed or call 6 for additional information. xzbcwsv Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):
