Position: D365 Functional Consultant (Finance & Inventory)
Reporting To: IT Application Head
Location: Bhubaneswar

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant to support and enhance our Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP environment within a jewellery retail business. The role will work closely with Finance, Inventory, Procurement, Retail Operations, and IT teams to ensure efficient system operation, process optimization, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in Finance and Supply Chain/Inventory Management modules , with an understanding of retail operations and inventory controls applicable to the jewellery industry.
Key Responsibilities
D365 Finance Functional Support
Provide functional support for D365 FO Finance modules
Analyse and resolve finance-related system issues and user queries.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.
Configure and maintain financial dimensions, posting profiles, and ledger setups.
Assist in audit compliance and financial control requirements.
Validate and test finance-related enhancements, patches, and updates.
Inventory & Supply Chain Support
Support Inventory Management processes
Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
Support inventory costing methods and valuation processes.
Assist business users in optimizing inventory control and replenishment processes.
Coordinate with procurement and retail teams to improve stock visibility and
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
4+ years of experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 FO Functional Consultant.
Strong hands-on experience in:
Finance Modules
Inventory Management
Procurement & Sourcing
Cost Management
Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management processes.
Experience in retail, luxury goods, jewellery, fashion, or similar industries preferred.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of jewellery retail operations and inventory controls.
Experience with POS integrations and retail operations.
Understanding of inventory costing and valuation methods.
Experience with Power BI reporting and analytics.
Experience in ERP implementation and support projects.
Success Metrics
Timely resolution of functional support tickets.
Improved inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
Successful completion of financial closing cycles.
Reduction in process inefficiencies and manual workarounds.
Compliance with audit and financial control requirements.
