Position Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, creative, and digitally savvy Social Media Assistant / Marketing Assistant to support our marketing team. The primary focus of this role is social media, including content creation, filming, video editing, and copywriting, with additional responsibilities supporting marketing initiatives, event and sponsorship coordination, creative brainstorming, and firm reporting.The ideal candidate is chronically online, plugged into social media trends, engaged in the local community, and always thinking of new ways to create engaging content and increase brand visibility. Having an established personal brand or active social media presence is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management: Assist with day-to-day social media management, content planning, scheduling, publishing, and audience engagement across platforms.Content Creation: Film and capture photo and video content for social media, marketing campaigns, events, and other firm initiatives.Video Editing: Edit short-form videos and other digital content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.Copywriting: Write engaging captions, social media posts, scripts, headlines, and other marketing copy that aligns with the firm’s brand voice.Trend Monitoring: Stay current on social media trends, trending audio, online conversations, and creative opportunities to help the firm remain relevant and engaging.Marketing Support: Work closely with the Marketing Manager on campaigns, creative brainstorming, marketing materials, and new ideas to grow brand awareness.Events & Sponsorships: Help coordinate, document, and report on firm events, community involvement, and sponsorships, including capturing content when needed.Reporting & Organization: Work closely with the intake team and Marketing Manager to prepare and maintain reports that track marketing performance, lead sources, and the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Help analyze reporting data to understand what is working, identify opportunities for improvement, track deliverables and deadlines, and keep marketing initiatives organized and on track.Community Engagement: Stay connected to local happenings, community events, and relevant online conversations to identify opportunities for the firm.Flexible Scheduling: Occasionally work outside of standard 8am - 5pm hours to support events, filming, content creation, and other marketing needs.
Requirements: Four year undergraduate degree with professional working experience
Programs Utilized: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, CapCut, editing software.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $24-$28/hr depending upon experience and education + benefits
Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM with some overtime and/or weekend hours required for special events.
Location: On-site at our main office location in Pensacola, Florida
