Senior sales engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Engineer with strong technical knowledge in racking, shelving, material handling and storage solutions. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, developing technical solutions, preparing layouts and commercial proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare 2 D and 3 D layout drawings based on project requirements. Interact with clients to understand their technical and operational requirements. Analyze requirements and propose the most suitable racking, shelving and material handling solutions. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing/fabrication drawings. Prepare commercial quotations and project costing. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and value engineering. Coordinate with Sales, Design, Operations, Purchase and Production teams for project execution. Study and understand tenders, RFQs, technical specifications and BOQs. Conduct technical discussions with clients and provide appropriate solutions. Support the sales team with technical presentations, proposals and solution demonstrations. Review project requirements, drawings and specifications to ensure technical accuracy. Assist in preparing technical and commercial submissions for customer requirements and tenders.

Requirements

Diploma / B. E. / B. Tech – Mechanical or Civil Engineering. 2–5 years of relevant experience in sales engineering, technical sales, racking, shelving, storage or material handling solutions. Strong technical knowledge of racking and shelving systems. Knowledge of material handling and warehouse storage solutions. Knowledge of automation products and warehouse automation solutions will be an added advantage. Proficiency in Auto CAD – 2 D & 3 D. Ability to understand technical drawings, layouts, BOQs and specifications. Good understanding of BOM preparation, costing and commercial proposals. Strong client interaction and communication skills. Good analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
