Our attorneys represent clients in matters involving commercial disputes, enforcement of judgments and employees in workplace discrimination, wage and hour violations, retaliation, and wrongful termination. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney who has a strong understanding of state court procedures, excellent litigation skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Benefits: A hybrid schedule (1–2 days in-office) 15 vacation days + 5 sick days + 15 firm-observed holidays A $700 monthly medical insurance stipend A 401(k) plan with a firm match after 6 months 20% origination for business brought into and accepted by the firm No specific billable hour requirement; however time tracking is required A professional development budget for Lawline CLEs + up to 2 bar memberships A potential non-equity partnership track Responsibilities: Manage all phases of collection litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court appearances Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy Develop case strategies based on client objectives and collectability Conduct asset investigations to identify collectible assets Pursue judgment enforcement through bank levies, wage garnishments, property executions, turnover proceedings, and subpoenas Communicate with clients regarding case status, strategy, risks, and outcomes Negotiate settlements and draft/review settlement agreements and stipulations Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient and consistent case handling Maintain organized case files, documentation, and billing records while ensuring legal and ethical compliance Use case management software and other technology to manage matters efficiently Requirements: 3+ years of commercial litigation experience An active New York Bar admission State court experience Strong knowledge of the CPLR and state court procedures, enforcement strategies Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Proven ability to manage a substantial caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines Comfortable collaborating and working independently with minimal supervision Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, courts, and opposing parties Bonus Experience: Active bar admission in New Jersey Experience with commercial collections litigation Familiarity with federal and state judgment enforcement procedures and strategies Experience with case management software and workflow automation tools Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not representative of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
