Role Purpose

Lead the School of Technology with responsibility for academic excellence, research impact, industry relevance, internationalisation, faculty development, and student outcomes . The Dean will drive the School’s growth into a high-quality, research-led and industry-connected technology institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and academic leadership across the School.
• Develop and continuously strengthen programmes aligned with emerging technology and industry needs.
• Build a strong research culture , including high-quality publications, funded projects, patents and industry research.
• Recruit, develop and retain high-calibre faculty.
• Strengthen partnerships with technology companies, research institutions and global universities .
• Drive accreditation, rankings, quality assurance and internationalisation initiatives.
• Improve student employability, internships, industry projects, entrepreneurship and placement outcomes.
• Promote interdisciplinary programmes and research across AI, computing, emerging technologies and related domains.
• Manage the School’s academic resources, budgets and operational performance.
• Establish clear KPIs for faculty, programmes, research and student outcomes.
• Represent the School and University nationally and internationally.

Candidate Profile

• PhD in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
• 15+ years of academic/research experience , including significant leadership responsibility.
• Strong record of high-quality research and academic publications.
• Demonstrated experience in programme development, faculty leadership and institutional building.
• Strong industry and international academic networks.
• Experience with accreditation, rankings and quality systems is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver measurable institutional outcomes.
