Houseperson/Linen RunnerThe Country Inn & Suites is seeking an energetic and detail oriented full time Houseperson/Linen Runner who is looking to be a part of our fun and dynamic work environment.Compensation starts at $20.00/hour, with benefits and potential for growth into Supervisor role. Housepersons/Linen Runners are an essential part of our hotel team. In addition to delivering guest amenities, cleaning public areas, washing laundry, and cleaning guestrooms, Housepersons help build and maintain the look and image of the hotel.Responsibilities:Prepares bed and bath linensDelivers guest amenitiesInspects and cleans public areas and restroomsStrips, cleans, and straightens roomsDisplays and replaces amenities and promotional materialsRemove trash, soiled linen, etc. and take to appropriate area for pick upMaintains supplies necessary to clean rooms efficientlyUtilize the proper cleaning methods to prevent injuryKeeps supply carts stockedLaundry, pressing and folding, towels, linen, etc.Report deficiencies in guest rooms and on guest floors to the housekeeping/engineering management teamEnsure cleanliness of guest room hallways, elevators, public areas and service corridors in accordance with hotel standardsInventory and maintain the cleanliness of the linen closetsProject an image of professionalism, friendliness and willingness to provide personalized service to our guestsSet, stock, and maintain guestrooms and spaces in line with brand standardsAdhere to the hotel's lost and found policies and proceduresRequirements:Must be eligible to work in the US and possess all necessary documents listed on I-9 and verified through E-Verify.Ideal candidate will have experience working in a hotel housekeeping environment that provides a superior level of guest service and professionalismAbility to work quickly while maintaining a close attention to detailMust possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at onceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and guestsMust possess a strong team spiritMaintain high energy for long periods of timePhysical Demands:Perform repetitive hand and arm movementsAbility to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds on an ongoing basisMust be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basisAbility to stand for long periods of timeOccasional lifting of up to 50 poundsAbility to model Choice's Cultural Values: Welcome and Respect Everyone, Be Bold, Be Quick, Listen, Be Curious and Show Integrity are key to our success in inspiring Loyalty, Growth, and the Hospitality Spirit.Choice Hotels International is an equal opportunity employer and affirmative action employer.
