We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities for commercial construction projects, with a strong focus on water and wastewater treatment facilities. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone looking to grow with an established organization—not someone who frequently changes jobs every 1–2 years.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preconstruction activities from initial planning through transition to construction.
Develop conceptual and detailed estimates, bids, quotes, schedules, and procurement strategies.
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
Review plans for constructability, budget, scheduling, phasing, and potential risks.
Prepare and manage RFIs, bids, quotes, change orders, and project documentation.
Solicit, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist with subcontractor buyout and procurement of equipment and long-lead materials.
Participate in design and project meetings and help ensure projects transition smoothly into construction.
Support project budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and overall project planning.
Lead preconstruction efforts for water/wastewater projects, including process systems, utilities, phasing, and operational considerations.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
Water or wastewater construction experience is required.
Experience with commercial projects; residential construction experience alone will not be considered.
Experience with RFIs, bidding, estimating, quotes, subcontractor management, and project coordination.
Strong understanding of construction plans, schedules, budgets, and contracts.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with a project team. xzbcwsv
