Junior Family Law Attorney is needed ASAP in the Northern Suburbs - Lake Forest! Will train for newly licensed attorney interested in family law.Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Family Law Attorney to support a busy family law practice. This role is ideal for an attorney with early-career experience who is looking to build hands-on expertise in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, visitation, and related domestic relations issues. Based on general knowledge.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with a caseload involving family law matters such as divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and domestic violence cases. Based on general knowledge.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, settlement agreements, and other legal documents. Based on general knowledge.Support case preparation for hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials. Based on general knowledge.Communicate with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and help manage expectations throughout the legal process. Based on general knowledge.Attend court appearances, depositions, and mediations as needed under attorney supervision or independently, depending on experience level. Based on general knowledge.Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal support staff to develop case strategy and maintain accurate case files. Based on general knowledge.Ensure compliance with court deadlines, filing requirements, and ethical obligations. Based on general knowledge.QualificationsJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Based on general knowledge.Active license to practice law in the applicable state and good standing with the state bar. Based on general knowledge.1+ years of legal experience, with exposure to family law preferred. Based on general knowledge.Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Based on general knowledge.Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail. Based on general knowledge.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with clients in emotionally sensitive situations. Based on general knowledge.Preferred QualificationsInternship, clerkship, or prior experience in family law.
