ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESWe are seeking a Product Line Manager for our industrial manufacturer of fuel gases and clean energy. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in product portfolio management for engineered hardware systems. You must have industrial distribution channel experience and managing a market-facing product line.
Managing a product line sold through distributors, understanding customer needs across a market, setting pricing strategy, managing margins, driving product improvements, and guiding the lifecycle of a mature product portfolioOwn the performance and profitability of company's existing product portfolio, including revenue, bookings, margins, and market shareCollect Voice of Customer insights and competitive intelligence through direct customer and distributor engagementDefine product requirements, develop roadmap recommendations, and build business cases for product investmentsPartner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Service on product development, improvement, and lifecycle managementSupport Sales with product positioning, pricing strategy, and competitive analysis to drive growth and protect margin
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field3–5+ years of product management or product line ownership experienceMust have experience owning, supporting, or selling engineered systemsMust have channel management and distributor support experienceBackground in industrial manufacturing, energy, oil/gas, or equipment industriesStrong financial business acumen, client relationship and customer research skillsFinancial analysis skills— revenue, margins, cost variance, labor rates, pricingManaging pricing and margin for a product lineAbility to interpret technical specifications and drawings; excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skillsExcel expert
