OverviewClient is seeking a Senior Java Developer contractor with experience building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The role requires payments industry technology experience, strong Java engineering skills, and experience with microservices and cloud-based application development.ResponsibilitiesManage Java/Java EE application development.Provide technical expertise throughout the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing.Required Qualifications10–12 years of software engineering experience.Proven experience applying 12-factor principles.Experience with J2EE, Spring, and microservices.Cloud experience.Experience with API technologies, including REST and API management tools.Payments industry technology experience.Experience with Domain-Driven Design.Proficiency in bounded context analysis.Additional Technical Skills Listed in the RequisitionModern Java development.Cloud-native patterns.Microservices.Containerization using Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and Helm/Kustomize.API development.Event-driven architecture.Container-aware CI/CD engineering.Infrastructure-as-code awareness.Observability implementation.Automation-first development practices.Advanced Maven dependency management.Dynatrace.Redis.Spring Boot. xzbcwsv Preferred QualificationsAWS experience is preferred for the cloud requirement.
