Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Performing duties including 1) Planning, scheduling, observing, and monitoring ongoing maintenance support functions to include technical analysis, storage, distribution of materials and equipment; 2) Distributing work and adjusting staffing levels to meet workload requirements in making repairs to buildings, fixtures, or utilities and related equipment and systems; 3) Providing guidance and direction to ensure that work meets quality level and deadlines; 4) Evaluating journey-persons in the course of performing work to determine quality of workmanship; and 5) Identifying training needs of employees.
