Job Summary The Payroll Analyst is responsible for executing end-to-end US payroll processes with high accuracy and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The role supports timely payroll delivery, handles employee queries, and ensures reconciliation and reporting standards are met across payroll cycles. Key Responsibilities Process end-to-end US payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly) Validate payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll regulations Calculate and verify payroll taxes including FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and federal/state income tax withholdings Manage W-2, W-4, 1099 forms, and year-end activities Handle employee and client payroll queries through voice and email support channels Investigate payroll discrepancies and ensure timely resolution Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting Coordinate with internal teams (HR, Benefits, Finance) and external vendors Ensure adherence to SLA timelines and quality standards in a client-facing environment Required Qualifications B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance/HR) Experience Requirements 1 - 4 years of payroll experience Key Skills & Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance Confidentiality and data integrity Problem-solving skills Tools & Systems ADP, SAP, Workday, Oracle (preferred), SNow Stakeholder Interaction Employees, HR, Finance teams Success Metrics / KPIs Payroll accuracy SLA adherence Query resolution time Compliance adherence Communication & Voice Skills (Mandatory) Excellent spoken English with a clear, neutral/global accent Strong articulation, pronunciation, and professional tone for US audiences Proven ability to handle voice-based interactions with US clients and employees Strong listening and comprehension skills, especially for accent diversity Ability to explain payroll calculations, tax deductions, and discrepancies clearly and confidently Professional phone etiquette with experience in client-facing/service environments Communication Requirements Comfortable working in a voice non-voice support model (calls, emails, case management systems) Experience handling high-volume employee queries over calls Willingness to work in US shifts / night shifts to support client time zones Prior exposure to HRO, BPO, or shared services environment preferred
