Job Description
The Senior Managerial Role- Project Management will lead the end-to-end execution of utility-scale Solar PV EPC projects from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through Commercial Operation Date (COD). The role is accountable for safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery while ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, regulatory, and HSE requirements. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, manage EPC contractors and key stakeholders, oversee commercial and contractual performance, and ensure successful project execution aligned with ENGIE's operational and financial objectives. Location & Travel Based in Pune, Maharashtra. Travel to project sites within India as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil Engineering. Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Candidates will be preferred having Minimum 15 years plus of experience in the power or renewable energy sector. At least 5 years of experience managing utility-scale Solar PV EPC projects. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual commitments. Develop and implement project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans. Monitor project milestones and proactively mitigate execution risks. Commercial & Financial Management Own project P&L and overall financial performance. Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow. Drive cost optimization while maintaining quality and schedule. Manage project variations, claims, and commercial negotiations. Contract Management Ensure compliance with EPC contracts, subcontract agreements, and client obligations. Manage contractual risks and resolve commercial issues with clients, contractors, and suppliers. Coordinate closely with Legal and Commercial teams on contractual matters. Stakeholder Management Build and maintain effective relationships with: Clients and Owner's Engineers EPC contractors Lenders Utilities and transmission authorities Equipment suppliers and logistics partners Internal Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and O&M teams Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, planning, and project controls. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive project governance and effective decision-making. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Champion ENGIE's Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards across all project sites. Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and company HSE requirements. Oversee implementation of Project Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), inspections, audits, and Non-Conformance Report (NCR) management. Promote a strong safety-first culture and continuous quality improvement. Reporting & Governance Provide regular executive reports on project progress, risks, financial performance, and resource utilization. Present project status updates to senior management and key stakeholders. Drive project governance through structured reviews and performance metrics.
