Overview :

Responsible for supervising and executing plant projects, installation, civil/mechanical/electrical works, machine installation, modification, commissioning and infrastructure development while ensuring timely completion, safety, quality and cost control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise day-to-day execution of plant projects and infrastructure activities.
• Coordinate installation, erection, commissioning and shifting of production and packaging machinery.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical, fabrication and external contractors.
• Prepare project execution schedules and monitor progress against timelines.
• Ensure project work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications and standards.
• Monitor manpower, material availability and contractor productivity.
• Verify measurements, work completion and contractor bills before submission.
• Identify project delays, technical issues and resource requirements and escalate promptly.
• Ensure safe working practices, PPE, work permits and site safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, Maintenance, Stores and EHS teams during project execution.
• Maintain project documentation, progress reports, drawings, approvals and handover records.
• Support commissioning, trial runs and performance verification of new equipment.
• Ensure proper handover of completed projects to Maintenance/Operations.
• Control project wastage and support cost-effective execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure housekeeping at project locations.
• Support CAPEX projects, plant expansion, layout modification and utility projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong project execution and site supervision skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and civil works.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and layouts.
• Contractor and manpower management.
• Planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good MS Excel and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and follow-up ability.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/food-processing environment.

EDUCATION:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Production or relevant engineering discipline.
