Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent, and high-quality nursing care to an assigned group of patients.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Monitor telemetry patients and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge planning, and health promotion.
• Perform purposeful rounding and maintain effective patient communication.
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and infection prevention practices.
• Assist with patient throughput, care coordination, and discharge planning.
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience
• Med-Surg experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Strong patient assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Experience with EPIC is highly preferred

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Medical-surgical: 2 years (Required)
• RN: 3 years (Required)
