Introduction
A long-established veterinary hospital that has been serving the Helena, Montana community since the late 1960s is looking to hire a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The hospital provides care across a particularly varied patient base, including dogs, cats, exotic pets and avian species, and combines decades of experience with modern diagnostics and a really personal approach to veterinary medicine. There's a strong connection with the local community here too, with many clients having trusted the hospital with their pets for decades.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied caseload across preventative care, diagnostics, medicine, surgery and dentistry. You'll have the chance to work with a broader mix of species than you'd typically find within a small animal GP setting, while having an experienced group of doctors around you to bounce ideas off and collaborate with when needed. Client communication and education are an important part of the role, with the hospital putting a lot of value on building trust and helping owners make informed decisions around their pets' care. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable managing their own caseload while working as part of a collaborative clinical team.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside Emergency Care, Exotic Medicine, Avian Medicine and Breeding Services, giving its veterinarians plenty of variety within their day-to-day caseload. Equipment available includes, but is not limited to, an In-House Laboratory and diagnostic imaging capabilities, supporting the team's ability to investigate and manage cases within the hospital. The practice has a particularly long-standing connection with the local community, including a decades-old relationship providing both routine and emergency veterinary care for the local Humane Society, as well as supporting Police and Sheriff's Department K9 officers. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.

Team
You'll be joining an experienced 5-DVM team with more than 110 years of combined veterinary experience, so there's a lot of knowledge around you without losing the feel of a close-knit General Practice environment. The doctors bring experience across areas including dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology, radiographic interpretation, lameness diagnosis, geriatric care, oncology, trauma and surgery, creating plenty of opportunity to talk through cases and learn from different clinical perspectives. Collaboration is a genuine part of the hospital's approach, with the team able to share ideas and draw on one another's experience when working through more involved cases.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
