Our business covers India, China, Russia, Middle East, Africa, South-East Asia and Europe, involving containerized shipments, bulk cargo movements, third-country trading, SEZ operations, bonded warehousing and international supply chain management. Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and result-oriented Manager – Logistics & Documentation who can effectively manage international logistics, shipping documentation, import-export execution, SEZ compliance and customer delivery coordination.
The role requires strong understanding of international trade documentation, shipping operations, freight negotiations and coordination with multiple stakeholders including customers, suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers and regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities International Logistics & Shipment Coordination
Planning and execution of import and export shipments. Coordination of containerized and bulk cargo movements. Monitoring shipment schedules and ensuring timely deliveries. Freight negotiations with shipping lines, freight forwarders and transporters. Coordination for inland transportation, port handling and warehousing. Monitoring shipment costs and identifying opportunities for logistics optimisation. Documentation & Trade Compliance Preparation, verification and execution of import/export documentation. Handling Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, Insurance Documents and other shipping documents. Coordination and scrutiny of Letter of Credit (LC) documents. Understanding and implementation of Incoterms. Monitoring compliance requirements for international shipments. Coordination with Customs Brokers, CHA's and regulatory authorities. SEZ & Free Zone Operations Handling documentation and compliance requirements related to SEZ operations. Exposure to JAFZA, Free Zone, Bonded Warehouse or FTWZ operations will be an added advantage. Coordination for stock transfers, re-exports and third-country transactions. Customer & Supplier Coordination Regular interaction with customers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules. Coordination with suppliers to ensure timely dispatches and documentation. Resolution of shipment-related issues and claims. MIS, Reporting & Process Improvement Maintaining shipment trackers and logistics MIS. Monitoring transit times, freight costs and delivery performance. Working on ERP integration and process automation initiatives. Developing SOPs and improving documentation workflows. Team & Cross-Functional Coordination Coordination with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Operations and Plant teams. Support management in planning and execution of logistics strategies. Ensuring proper communication flow between all stakeholders. Preferred Candidate ProfileGraduate / Post Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related discipline.
5–10 years of relevant experience in:
