Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Accountant located in 160 Dikeman Brooklyn, NY 11231.The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable. Additionalresponsibilities may include providing support during audits, reconciling accounts, and collaboratingwith other departments to enhance financial processes.
Office Hours: 8:30am - 5pm (5 days a week)
QualificationsProficiency in financial recordkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processesProficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software and Microsoft Excel is a mustStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlinesBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Work experience in the construction, real estate, or related industries is a plus
ResponsibilitiesProducing detailed job cost reports through Sage 300, invoice trackingRecording subcontractor AIAs, general conditions, and project-related costs in Sage 300,ensuring accurate and timely postingManaging and analyzing accounts payable data, processing high volumes of vendor invoices andsubcontractor payment applications via checksAssisting with the compliance reviews of insurance certificates xzbcwsv and workers’ compensation auditCollaborating with project managers, accounting teams, and subcontractors to maintainaccurate financial records and resolve discrepancies
