Job Overview

Chandigarh University is looking for dynamic, enthusiastic, and target-driven Admission Counselors to join its Admissions Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for counseling prospective students and parents, managing admission inquiries, nurturing leads, and converting them into successful enrollments. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and a strong focus on achieving admission targets.

Key Responsibilities

Telecalling & Lead Management

Make 100+ outbound calls daily to prospective students and parents from assigned databases. Handle inbound inquiries through phone calls, Whats App, emails, and other communication channels. Conduct cold calling and ensure timely follow-ups on assigned leads. Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, follow-ups, and admission status in the CRM. Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics, including calls, conversions, and enrollments. Achieve assigned admission and enrollment targets while maintaining quality interactions.

Admission Counseling

Counsel prospective students and parents regarding academic programs, eligibility criteria, admission procedures, fee structures, scholarships, and important deadlines. Assess student profiles and recommend suitable programs based on their academic background and career aspirations. Build strong relationships with students and parents to enhance trust and engagement. Guide applicants throughout the complete admission journey until successful enrollment. Handle objections effectively and convert inquiries into admissions through consultative counseling.

Desired Candidate Profile

Strong communication, counseling, and relationship management skills. Target-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced admissions environment. Excellent objection handling, negotiation, and persuasion skills. Basic knowledge of CRM systems and MS Office. Ability to manage multiple leads while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Strong follow-up and customer engagement skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in Admission Counseling, Telecalling, Education Sales, Inside Sales, or Student Recruitment. Experience in the Education or Ed Tech sector will be preferred. Immediate joiners will be given preference.
