Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will lead design, development and implementation by managing projects, conducting engineering analysis and calculations, preparing engineering drawings, docs and specs, overseeing testing and validation of systems, and performing simulations. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will also be a technical subject matter expert and provide mentorship to Jr. Engineers.
Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components, including sheet metal designs.Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support design decisions.Utilize CAD and simulation tools to conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Oversee testing and validation to ensure mechanical systems meet performance and safety requirements.Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to support successful project execution.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
This position will work fully on-site in Aurora, IL, Monday through Friday.
Salary range will be $100,000-$120,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications:Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related5+ years of experience in mechanical engineeringStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processesStrong CAD skills (Solidworks, AutoCAD, or similar)
