Responsibilities Assist with management and treatment of outpatient behavioral health activities under supervision of licensed mental health professionals. Conduct intakes and assist with care and treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients. Counsel clients/patients with personal, behavioral, or psychological problems. Perform work independently, resolving non-recurring problems using judgment to select appropriate guidelines. Observe patients to detect behavior patterns and report observations to licensed behavioral health staff. Lead prescribed individual or group therapy sessions under guidance from licensed mental health professionals. Complete initial intake interviews and required forms for new patients on behalf of licensed mental health providers. Conduct intake interviews
