Job Description
Position: Downstream R&D (Microbial) – Biologics
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize downstream purification processes for microbial-derived biologics.
- Perform purification using chromatography, filtration, centrifugation, and UF/DF techniques.
- Operate chromatography systems (e.g., ÄKTA) and downstream processing equipment.
- Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports, SOPs, and protocols.
- Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with Upstream, Analytical, QA/QC, and Manufacturing teams.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and EHS requirements.
Qualification
- M.Sc./M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, or related Life Sciences.
- 2–8 years of experience in downstream process development for microbial biologics.
