Role: Release Management Analyst

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 months+ (with a possibility of Contract-to-Hire)

Work Schedule : 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Work Hours: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM PDT (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM IST)

Location : 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in Karnataka, India)

Overview

We are seeking a Release Management Analyst to coordinate and govern software releases across multiple products and environments. This role is responsible for driving release planning, change management, deployment readiness, Go/No-Go activities, release governance, and stakeholder communication while ensuring production releases are delivered safely and in compliance with organizational standards.

The ideal candidate has experience coordinating enterprise software releases, working with Engineering, SRE, Product, and Operations teams, and supporting CI/CD-based deployment processes in a SaaS or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate release planning, scheduling, and release calendars across multiple products.
• Manage end-to-end release activities from planning through production deployment.
• Facilitate Go/No-Go meetings and document release decisions.
• Create and manage Release Authorizations (RA) and change management documentation.
• Coordinate deployments across environments while ensuring required approvals are completed.
• Partner with Engineering, SRE, Security, Product, and Operations teams to minimize release risk.
• Enforce change management policies, release governance, emergency changes, and deployment standards.
• Support release validation, deployment monitoring, and post-release verification.
• Coordinate release-related incident investigations and post-mortem activities.
• Maintain release dashboards, reporting, and operational metrics.
• Communicate release status, risks, blockers, and deployment updates to technical and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in Release Management, Technical Project Management, DevOps, SRE, or Technical Operations.
• Experience managing enterprise software releases across multiple environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira or equivalent work management tools.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GoCD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Change Management, CAB processes, rollback planning, and audit requirements.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams under tight timelines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to support the required PST coverage hours.
